The Principal
Young Park — 40 years in branding, including 20 years of diaspora branding in America.
Educated in Seoul and Barcelona, Mr. Park holds dual Master’s degrees in Visual and Fine Arts and a Doctorate in Visual Arts. Over four decades in branding across three continents, his career began in Seoul on Samsung’s creative business at the group’s own advertising agency, and later as Art Producer at Korea’s foremost graphic design firm — working with Samsung, LG, Hyundai and Kia.
In those same years, Korea was introducing itself to the world: Mr. Park worked for the culture ministry and its affiliated agencies on the Seoul 1988 Olympics and Daejeon Expo ’93, designing and producing the material that carried it.
Then Barcelona. For four years he produced touring exhibitions of Egyptian Civilization and Picasso, moving them through Asia and assembling in each country the government partners, media co-hosts and sponsors the work required. Western culture, placed before Asian audiences — the same problem he works on now, on a different continent.
For the past 20 years in America, he has focused on diaspora branding from Los Angeles — the largest Asian population outside of Asia. His track record in Asian-centric real estate promotion is unrivaled: a clientele that reads as a “who’s who” of the most powerful real estate developers, backed by personal relationships with Asian media in America and overseas.
His hallmark: simple, striking imagery rooted in traditional Asian symbolism — work that reads instantly on both sides of the Pacific.
